Ind. family stunned; friend arrested in 2 killings (AP)

INDIANAPOLIS ? Two Indianapolis men face murder charges in the fatal shootings of a 7-year-old girl and her uncle. The crime has stunned a family already in mourning because one of the suspects is a longtime family friend.

Twenty-one-year-old Michael Bell and 25-year-old Jeremy Priel are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on two counts of murder, one count of robbery and two handgun-related charges.

Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry says investigators don't yet know which man allegedly shot 7-year-old Kyleigh Crane and 21-year-old Jeremy Crane. A probable cause affidavit filed Wednesday indicates Bell and Priel blame each other for the Dec. 12 killings.

Crane's mother says Bell was her son's close friend who'd lived with the family earlier this year and whom her grandkids called "Uncle Mike."
